Value
The 120+ biopharma organizations currently part of the 10+ active Searchlight networks have told us that they view participation in this year-round dialogue as a natural extension of the scientific discourse that takes place at the annual flagship conferences and makes no distinction between the conversations that might happen onsite over a coffee or in a workshop and those which occur online in a cornerstone meeting.
Furthermore, the issues discussed in Searchlight meetings focus on pre-IP areas, and no one is expected to share anything they are uncomfortable sharing.

Experience
Each meeting is led by expert, industry specific ‘mentors’ experienced in solving problems, with success measured by how many practically applicable solutions members leave each meeting with.
The situation: The members will define the format ahead of time to ensure each meeting delivers maximum value. Plus, we’ll add new faces to the meetings as the network expands to provide an even greater diversity of perspectives can be shared among the group.
The discussion: HRBPs break out into working groups containing the most relevant members (grouped by company size) to challenge each other and develop their ideas whilst coaching each other to think differently.
The action: Members return to the main plenary to share their groups’ key takeaways as the mentor isolates the most actionable strategies and provides a Q&A opportunity for further tactical and strategic questions.
Participants are encouraged to capture and share (with both each other and with you) the key actions they take away from each meeting along with how they plan on applying them immediately.
We know that HRBPs can’t always predict and block out meetings within their diary so work with them to minimize the chances of missing meetings and, in some circumstances, allowing colleagues to attend in their place.
Following each meeting, the presentations from each mentor and pre-meeting resources will be shared on the Searchlight community platform so those unable to attend can revisit key themes.
The frequency of these meetings has been specifically chosen by members to allow for them to feel that missing the occasional one doesn’t drastically change the value they gain from membership.
Unless indicated otherwise, Searchlight memberships include one seat per meeting, which is fully interchangeable within your organization to ensure everyone's voice is heard within the time we have together. However, there are occasions throughout the year when we will invite you to participate with a subject matter expert, depending on the subject we'll be discussing.
Each meeting has been tailored to address key business critical challenges that members have told us they experience. Each mentor brought in to lead a session has been chosen for their specific experiences within these areas.
A limited number of ‘associate partner’ (guest) places are available at quarterly meetings for those interested in joining a network.
